"Harley Quinn (2013- ) #8" Reviews
Harley Quinn shows how to get rid of animal poop...in a very destructiv kind of way of course...
Harley is at it once again and this time she's continuing to bring the laughs. One of my favorite things about The Harley Quinn New 52 series is that while there is a serious plot to it, they never lose the humor and goofiness that Harley is also known for.
Sure, there are plot points where I kind of shake my head and go really?!? Really. But that's part of what Harley Quinn is about. She's going to do the extreme and usually she does the extreme better than anyone else ever could have.
This issue in particular I thought could have used a bit more of the actual serious plot to it but still it continued to be wonderful, to make me smile and laugh, and all around just have a good time while reading it.
Wow, what a dramatic finale!
In the final issue in this volume of Harley Quinn, we finally find out what Tony’s been building for Harley, as well as the revelation of someone who is most likely going to be part of the main story arc for the next volume, Power Outage.
Also, there’s this whole skaters thing that I’m hoping is going to be part of the main arc of the next volume (I’ve loved roller derby since I watched the movie Whip It with Ellen Page) as it wasn’t really prevalent in this volume so much.
There was a neat ketchup joke (I swear, the small jokes in these have me smiling so much), and the art work was, yet again, wonderful.
I was stuck in a reading funk and decided to give a comic a shot. Little did I know I would become a huge fan of Harley Quinn that I have been devouring all her comics. I love the art and the stories paint her in a light I never expected. I have enjoyed every installment so far and looking forward to reading them all. Highly recommend she's quickly become my favorite DC character.
Es una gilipollez como una casa. Pero es muy muy divertido. Me ha encantado.
